What we process

• Content you add to boards/pins (text, photos, maps, links, polls).

  • Local mode: stored on your device (App Groups for app + widget).

  • Sync (optional): stored in Firebase Firestore for real-time collaboration.

• Account (optional): sign-in with Google via Firebase Auth/Google Sign-In.

• Location (optional): only when you create map pins.

• Metrics & stability: Firebase Analytics (aggregated usage) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports).
  The app does not provide a setting to disable analytics.

• Subscriptions & payments: RevenueCat handles Premium entitlement and App Store receipts (no card data is received by us).

• Campaign measurement: Google Ads conversion SDK (installs/conversions).

Why we use data (legal bases)

• Provide and operate the app (local/sync, collaboration, widget): performance of a contract.

• Google sign-in & subscriptions via RevenueCat: performance of a contract.

• Aggregated analytics, security, product quality: legitimate interests.

• Campaign measurement: as required by the store/platform.

Processors & transfers

• Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics), Google Sign-In, RevenueCat, Apple (App Store, MapKit, WidgetKit, BackgroundTasks), Kingfisher (image processing). Services may operate in the EU/EEAand/or the USA with appropriate safeguards.

Retention

• Local content: until you delete it or uninstall.

• Synced content: kept in Firebase until you delete it (provider backups may persist briefly).

• Metrics/receipts: for reasonable periods set by each provider.

Access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, and portability where applicable.

Security
Encryption in transit, data minimization, account/board isolation, App Groups for widget sharing, App Check, and system-level controls.

Terms of Use (short) – BoardOn

What BoardOn is
A digital corkboard for iOS 17+ with interactive pins (drag & drop, string connections), shake-to-undo, haptics/sounds, and a widget. Use locally or with sync (Firestore). Current pin types: text, photo, emoji/mood, map, link, and poll.

Account & sync
Use without an account or sign in with Google to enable sync and collaboration. Invite/join shared boards via codes.

Free vs Premium (RevenueCat)
Free plan with default limits (1 personal + 1 shared board, 10 photos). Upgrade to Premium via RevenueCat and the App Store to raise limits. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled in the store. Refunds follow Apple’s policy.

Acceptable use
Do not upload illegal content; infringe others’ rights (copyright, trademarks, privacy); post explicit sexual, violent, or discriminatory content; publish third-party personal data without consent; bypass Premium limits; interfere with the service; or store highly sensitive data.

Ownership
You retain your rights to your content. You grant a limited license to host/process/sync it solely to operate the app (including the widget). BoardOn software/designs/marks belong to Manuel or licensors.

Availability & changes
Features, limits, or pricing may change or be interrupted for maintenance or technical reasons. Notices may appear in-app or in the store.

Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses or for misuse of the service.

Privacy
Use of the app is governed by the Privacy Policy above.
