What we process

Content you create in the app:

Boards, notes, photos, emoji/mood pins, map pins, links, checklists, reminders, and related board layout data.

Local storage:

Your app data is stored locally on your device. BoardOn uses Apple App Groups so the app and widget can access the same local data.

Location (optional):

Used only when you choose to create a location pin or open map-related content.

Subscriptions and payments:

Premium purchases, entitlements, and receipt validation are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your card details.

Remote content (only when applicable):

Some image content may be loaded from external URLs when a pin or sample content references a remote image.

What we do not currently use

BoardOn does not currently use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or Google Ads conversion tracking.

Why we use data

To operate the app:

To create, display, edit, and persist your boards and pins locally, and to keep the widget in sync.

To provide Premium:

To unlock paid features through Apple’s in-app purchase system and RevenueCat.

To render optional features:

To show maps, widgets, haptics, sounds, and remote images when those features are used.

Processors and services

Apple:

App Store, StoreKit, MapKit, WidgetKit, BackgroundTasks.

RevenueCat:

Subscription entitlement and purchase status handling.

Retention

Local content:

Stored on your device until you delete it, clear local data, or uninstall the app.

Purchase data:

Handled by Apple and RevenueCat according to their own retention policies.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, or request portability of personal data where applicable.

Security

BoardOn follows a local-first model, uses system storage protections, App Group isolation for widget sharing, and standard secure transport for purchase-related communications.
