Bula National High School, embraced in the heart of Bula, Camarines Sur, boasts a rich history filled with transformation and dedication to education. Its journey began in 1996, then known as Bula Barrio High School, braindchild of retired Public School Supervisor Sulpicio Amparado. Housed within the AbaCorp compound, it welcomed its first 90 students under the watchful guidance of Miss Purificasion Angarin and Miss Rosalinda Hermogeno. Back then, the principal of Bula Central School doubled as Assistant Principal, while Nabua National High School's principal held the reins as the main head, as stipulated by the Barrio High Center.
The years that followed saw the school evovle alongside its growing community. In 1970, it shed its "Barrio" title and embraced the moniker "Bula Barangay High School". As enrollemnt steadily climed, the need for expansion became evident. Finally, in 1984, a momentous milestone arrived - Bula National Highschool was born. Championed by Rep. Noli Fuentabella and Mayor Benjamin Canet, this nationalization marked a new chapter, paving the way for further development and progress.
Mr. Hermogenes T. Tosoc took the helm as the first official Principal, leading a team of16 dedicated teachers, 2 Master Teachers, and 8 Non-Teaching Personnel. The subsequent years witnessed a dedication to quality education, reflected in the implementation of innovative programs like School Based Training Program for Science and Mathematics and the NEPP National English Proficiency Program. These initiatives aimed to empower both students and educators, fostering a holistic learning environment. From Mrs. Fermina S. Nierva's Leadership (1987-1990) to Mr. Bernando B. Bolalin's tenure (1993-2010), the school contionued to thrive. In 2010, the baton was passed to Mrs. Mariben D. Berja, who remains at the helm, steering Bula National High School towards new horizons.
