Step 2: USCIS Receives Your Application

When USCIS receives your application, we will review it for completeness and for the proper fees or a properly documented fee waiver request. If your case meets the basic acceptance criteria, your application will be entered into our system and we will send you a receipt notice. At the top of this notice you will find a receipt number which can be used to check the status of your case online.

To apply for a lawful permanent status (Green Card), you must be eligible under one of the categories listed on the Green Card Eligibility Categories page. Once you find the category that may fit your situation, click on the link provided to get information on eligibility requirements, how to apply, and whether your family members can also apply with you.

If you have waited over two weeks since the date we updated your application status to "Mailed" and you have not received your passport, contact the National Passport Information Center. Customer service representatives will help you complete a special form (known as the DS-86 form) which is a signed statement that you didn't receive your U.S. passport.

If your status update is "Additional Information Needed" and you have not received a letter and/or email within one week of the date in the status update, call the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778. Check the junk or spam folder of your email account before contacting us.

We encourage customers who have already applied to check their application status online and sign up for updates via email. How our contact center can help you depends on your travel date, and if you have applied or not yet applied...

You will see this update if we are experiencing temporary, technical issues with our Online Status Passport System. We recommend you check your status on another web browser or check again in several hours.

Entering Your Last Name: If you cannot find a status update on the first try, make sure the name you enter is spelled the same as the name you provided on your passport form. If you have a hyphen in your name, try entering your name with and without the hyphen.

Your status may be "Mailed" if you recently received a new passport in the last 180 days, and you are re-applying for a new passport. For example, you may need to re-apply for a new passport using Form DS-5504 if you need to Change or Correct Your Passport. It may take 2 weeks after the date you apply on Form DS-5504 for your status to change to "In Process."

Make sure to register for email updates about the status of your application and supporting document. It may take 8 weeks after you receive your new passport for your supporting documents (e.g. birth certificate or previous passport) to arrive. If you have been waiting more than 8 weeks, contact the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778 to report that you have not received your documents.

You can check the status of your 2023 income tax refund 24 hours after e-filing. Please allow 3 or 4 days after e-filing your 2021 and 2022 tax year returns. If you mailed a return, please allow 4 weeks before checking your status.

Please note thatreferees are reminded on a regular schedule.Although the initial reminder to a given referee will appear on thelisting, subsequent reminders to the same referee will not necessarilyappear on the status report.

The map below shows the current status of park roads and road construction. Click on a road segment or icon for more information. Conditions can change quickly, so check back often. Short-term road closures and delays may not be shown.

The only road generally open year-round to automobiles is from the North Entrance at Gardiner, Montana, through the park to Cooke City, Montana (via Tower Junction). Most park roads are closed to regular vehicles from early November to late-April, and are open to limited oversnow travel (snowmobiles and snowcoaches) from mid-December to mid-March. When open, roads are not gated at night and people may enter/exit the park 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Yellowstone has five entrance stations, and it takes several hours to drive between them. Anticipate possible road closures, and check the road status of the entrance you intend to use before traveling.

For up-to-date information, check out the live road status map (above), call (307) 344-2117 for recorded information, or sign up to receive Yellowstone road alerts on your mobile phone by texting 82190 to 888-777 (an automatic text reply will confirm receipt and provide instructions). Before traveling, it's also a good idea to:

Use TSDR to retrieve status information and to view and download documents for pending and registered trademarks. TSDR also displays information contained in the USPTO records regarding International Registrations and applications for International Registration filed under the Madrid system through the United States. To access TSDR, enter a valid trademark serial number or registration number and select either the "Status" or "Documents" buttons.

Trademark applicants and registrants are responsible for monitoring the status of their applications or registrations in cases where a notice or action from the USPTO is expected. An applicant is one that is filing or applying for a trademark and a registrant is one that has been granted a registration. Inquiries regarding the status of pending matters should be made during the following time periods:

If the status inquiry reveals that a filing is lost, that no action has been taken regarding correspondence that was submitted, or that some other problem exists, the applicant or registrant must promptly request corrective action. Failure to act diligently and follow up with appropriate action may result in denial of any later requested relief. The USPTO may deny petitions to reactivate abandoned applications and cancelled registrations when a party fails to inquire about the status of a pending matter within a reasonable time.

The FSB has asked the TCFD to publish a further status report in September 2021 and undertake further analysis on the extent to which companies describe the financial impact of climate-related risks and opportunities on their businesses and strategies. The TCFD also plans to gain better insight into reporting practices of asset managers and asset owners to their clients and beneficiaries.

If you receive this status, we need more information from you before we can finish processing your return and refund. You will receive a Request for Information letter (Form DTF-948 or DTF-948-O) with details about the information we need and how to respond to the letter.

If the line on your return where you request a refund amount is blank or you entered zero, you have not requested a refund and cannot use our Check Your Refund Status tool. You cannot use Check Your Refund Status to view the status of a payment.

If you enter information that doesn't match our system, you'll receive an error message. After four attempts, you won't be able to access your status for 24 hours. To resolve your issue, review the Social Security number and refund amount you entered to confirm they're correct. Our representatives cannot provide your requested refund amount, even after verifying your identity.

If you've checked your refund status using our automated phone line or Check Your Refund Status tool, and neither of them state your refund issue date, our Call Center representatives don't have that information.

The Board of Registered Nursing has a new way to monitor and verify your application status. This will allow you to track your application and provides important details regarding the movement of your application. You can find out if your application has any deficiencies and what action you will need to complete in order to become licensed.

This is a list of Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) response status codes. Status codes are issued by a server in response to a client's request made to the server. It includes codes from IETF Request for Comments (RFCs), other specifications, and some additional codes used in some common applications of the HTTP. The first digit of the status code specifies one of five standard classes of responses. The optional message phrases shown are typical, but any human-readable alternative may be provided, or none at all.

All HTTP response status codes are separated into five classes or categories. The first digit of the status code defines the class of response, while the last two digits do not have any classifying or categorization role. There are five classes defined by the standard:

An informational response indicates that the request was received and understood. It is issued on a provisional basis while request processing continues. It alerts the client to wait for a final response. The message consists only of the status line and optional header fields, and is terminated by an empty line. As the HTTP/1.0 standard did not define any 1xx status codes, servers must not[note 1] send a 1xx response to an HTTP/1.0 compliant client except under experimental conditions. 2351a5e196
