Dr. Bhaskar Mondal
Bhaskar Mondal received his PhD from National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, India in 2018 followed by M. Tech. (CSE) from Kalyani Government Engineering College. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Patna. He has nearly 10 years of experience in academics and research during which he has worked at XIM University Bhubaneswar, Orisha, India, BIT Sindri, Dhanbad, and NIT Jamshedpur. He has published more than 45 research papers in quality journals and international conferences. He has delivered many expert talks on Cyber security, Machine Learning and LaTeX. He is a Senior member of IEEE, Life member Computer Society of India (CSI) and Cryptology Research society of India (CRSI), and ACM. He has served several international conferences as session chair, advisory committee member and technical committee member. He is editor of CRC Press “Cyber Security” book series. He has also reviewed articles in journals including Artificial Intelligence Review, Scientific Reports, Security and Communication Networks, Innovations in Systems and Software Engineering, ICT Express, IEEE Access, etc. His research interests include lightweight cryptography and machine learning, and quantum computing.
He has hold academic administrative responsibilities like working as coordinator of NBA accreditation, NIRF Ranking, Course Structure design, Curriculum revision, Faculty Advisor of various batches of B. Tech, Computer Science & Engineering students, Coordinator of the Institute Website, Member of the Central Library Committee, Assistant Warden of hostels, Nodal Officer to NIT Council website, Member of the annual report publishing committee, etc. Further, I have conducted five summer internships for B. Tech students and organizing various events.
He has always been a self-starter and you will find him disciplined, responsive and responsible. I have the passion for studying new things and eager to achieve excellence in academics and research.
