Dr. Bhaskar Mondal

Bhaskar Mondal received his PhD from National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, India in 2018 followed by M. Tech. (CSE) from Kalyani Government Engineering College. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Patna. He has more than 15 years of experience in Academia and research during which he has worked at XIM University Bhubaneswar, Orisha, India, BIT Sindri, Dhanbad, and NIT Jamshedpur. He has published more than 50 research papers in quality journals and international conferences. He has been granted 2 patents and published another 3. He has supervised 3 PhD Scholars and currently supervises 6 PhD scholars. He has delivered many expert talks. He is a senior member of IEEE and ACM, a life member of the Computer Society of India (CSI) and Cryptology Research Society of India (CRSI). He is Academic Editor of IET Information Security, and PLOS ONE. His research interests include lightweight cryptography, machine learning, and quantum computing.

Featured in Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists List 2024.

He has hold academic administrative responsibilities like working as coordinator of NBA accreditation, NIRF Ranking, Course Structure design, Curriculum revision, Faculty Advisor of various batches of B. Tech, Computer Science & Engineering students, Coordinator of the Institute Website, Member of the Central Library Committee, Assistant Warden of hostels, Nodal Officer to NIT Council website, Member of the annual report publishing committee, etc. Further, I have conducted five summer internships for B. Tech students and organizing various events.
