This page explains how you (a Blypp user) can request deletion of your account and associated data. It is intended both for users and for disclosure on the Google Play Store.
Currently the MVP does not include an in‑app self‑service delete button. You can request deletion by contacting us via:
Email: blypp.official@gmail.com (replace with production support inbox)
Subject line suggestion: Account Deletion Request – Blypp
From the email address associated with your Google sign‑in (must match for verification)
Include in your email:
Google account email you used to sign in.
(Optional) Any communities or coaching spaces you manage.
Explicit statement: “I request deletion of my Blypp account and related personal data.”
We will acknowledge within 7 days and complete deletion (or provide an explanation if limited retention applies) within 30 days, usually much faster.
To protect you from unauthorized deletion, we verify the request using either:
The sender’s email matches the Google account on file, or
A brief confirmation reply from that address.
If we cannot verify, we will request additional confirmation before proceeding.
Once confirmed, we delete:
Firebase Auth user record (removes authentication identity in the app)
User persona profile document(s) in Firestore (users collection) for trainer/client roles
Trainer client relationship records referencing your UID (trainerClients)
Program documents you created (may be hard-deleted or orphaned program IDs cleared depending on dependency state)
Payment scheduling records you originated that are not legally required to retain (payments entries where you are creator / community owner)
Locally stored cached state (on next app startup) tied to your UID
Crashlytics user identifier association (future crashes will not be linked)
Analytics user properties tied to your UID (event-level historical analytics remain aggregated and cannot be re-identified)
Some data may be retained for a limited time:
Data Element
Purpose of Temporary Retention
Retention Duration
Notes
Server logs & aggregated analytics events
Security, abuse prevention, service metrics
Up to 90 days (rolling)
Not used to re-create your profile
Payment compliance / financial records (if any real money ledger added later)
Legal accounting obligations
As required by law (typically 5–7 years)
MVP currently uses scheduling only; no real transaction ledger stored
Backups (automatic Firestore backups)
Disaster recovery
Max 30 days
Data aged out on rotation
If a category does not apply (no live payments, etc.) we delete immediately.
After deletion and backup expiration, your data is not recoverable. If you return, a new account will be created when you sign in again with Google.
Acknowledgment: within 7 calendar days
Deletion execution: typically < 72 hours once verified
Final confirmation email: sent after completion
You can reply to the same email thread to request a status update. We will not send marketing or unrelated content on that thread.
A self‑service “Delete my account” button is planned. Once added, it will: trigger authenticated deletion, display a confirmation checklist, and (if applicable) warn about owned community removal side-effects.
