Blues Buddha

Many years ago when i was exploring my new connection to the blues, I walked into a club and a good friend Kiko shouted out, "Here he comes, the Buddha of Blues" That night I thought about my journey in music, I did not discover the blues first, even though it was all around me. I was raised on Rhythm and Blues, Soul and Rock and Roll, I then realized that my music was not that cut and dry, Right then the Blues Buddha idea was formed.

The blues had a place in all music, The Blues are the Roots and the rest is the fruits,The term Buddha literally means enlightened one, a knower, most importantly a seeker. Everyone can be a Buddha. It is not a religion, but a way of life. I believe that nothing is fixed or permanent and that change is always possible. That is how i exist my life and it is how I treat music, You never know where its gonna go, so just get in the flow.

I have recorded and played many different genres of music, I don't believe I am attached to any of them, I continue to explore and collaborate to awaken my spirit to my full music experience.

Music is the highest form of communication, It is a common denominator to us all, It speaks to every generation. I believe this concept.

I am involved in many different types of projects that work with people of all ages that are trying to raise up and live a complete life by overcoming life challenges, On this journey I have been introduced to youth clubs, senior centers, corporations, nonprofits, and of course my live audience, although they all have many things in common, the ties that bind them together is music. I know music heals, and i know it speaks to us all.

So if you Like Rock, Soul, Rhythm and Blues with a dab of old school blues, Come join me on this journey to free your soul
