Logistics and notes:
Camping is allowed the night before in the grass next to the parking lot. Low key only.
Race headquarters has been moved up to the main campus village, and parking on RACE DAY will be on campus next to the climging wall. PRACTICE day will base out of the normal MTB/Baseball/Soccer parking area
Cell service isn't that great in the parking lot but it's good on the mountain.
The course will be marked by the end of Friday 4/5, feel free to pre-ride at any time
Registration will open at 8:00 on Sunday.
We're planning to have water in a couple of spots on course for you. There's also a really nice spring next to the trail on Copperhead heading up to stage 4
You must head out by 10:30, the sweepers will head out then and you can't be behind them. You must complete the course by 4 PM (hopefully much sooner!)
The chip timers cost about $100 apiece. If we don't get yours back when you return from the course we will hunt you down!
Fried Chicken, mac/cheese, kale salad, from the Blue Ridge School kitchen!
If for some crazy reason we have to postpone or cancel the race, we'll transfer your registration to the new date, or you can gift/sell your registration. Refunds aren't possible due to needing to spend a fair bit of the funds before the event itself. Thank you for understanding!

Race rules:
Helmets required of course and chin straps must remain fastened on stages and transfers; knee pads and other protection gear are advised but not specifically required.
There is no mandatory gap between rider starts. You can go whenever you want, but if you catch a slower rider you didn't wait long enough.
If a racer catches you on a stage, you must immediately give the oncoming rider the pass. This is a race against the clock so holding someone up is of no advantage and also is poor sportsmanship
You must follow the transfer directional arrows. Absolutely no course cutting on transfers
Riders can return to the base camp at any time for repairs, clothes food, etc. There will be a neutral aid workstation and tools available. If you need to return to base camp during the race otherwise, you may not ride backwards on an active race course.
You must ride the same bike for the race. No swapping bikes!
Only one time down a stage. If you crash or have a mechanical, you don't get a do-over.
There is no outside assistance from spectators
You may assist other riders with mechanicals at your own discretion
If you come upon an injured rider, you must assess their condition and report to the nearest course marshal who will be in radio contact with base camp. This is for fun, so keeping everyone safe is the number one priority! If you assist another rider you can go back up and start the stage again but you must let the course marshal know immediately!
