B. Collection Methods
The Company collects personal information through the following channels:
Website, written forms, bulletin boards, emails, event participation, delivery requests, phone, fax, and tools for automatically generated data collection.
The collected information is used for the following purposes:
Service Provision: Executing service-related contracts, billing, providing content, processing payments, delivering goods, and verifying identity for financial transactions.
Membership Management: Verifying identity for member-only services, identifying individuals, preventing misuse by unauthorized users, confirming membership intent, verifying age, obtaining guardian consent for members under 14, handling complaints, and providing notices.
Marketing and Advertising: Sending promotional materials, analyzing access frequency, and gathering statistical data on service usage for targeted marketing and personalized services.
Personal information is, in principle, destroyed once the purpose of collection and use is fulfilled. However, information may be retained for specific periods due to the following:
A. Internal Policies
To prevent unauthorized re-registration by fraudulent users, resolve disputes, or cooperate with investigations, the Company may retain member information for X years after contract termination.
B. Legal Retention Requirements
Personal information is retained as required by applicable laws, including the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce:
Records on Contracts or Cancellations: Retained for 5 years.
Payment and Supply Records: Retained for 5 years.
Consumer Complaints or Dispute Records: Retained for 3 years.
Log Records: Retained for 3 months (under the Communications Privacy Act).
A. Destruction Procedure
Personal information entered during registration is moved to a separate database (or storage space for physical records) after achieving its purpose. It is stored for a specific period, according to internal policies and applicable laws, before being permanently destroyed.
B. Destruction Methods
Electronic files are permanently deleted using technical methods that prevent recovery.
Physical documents are shredded or incinerated.
The Company does not provide personal information to external parties without prior consent, except in the following cases:
When users have given explicit prior consent.
When disclosure is required by law or requested by investigative authorities according to legal procedures.
Users may view or modify their registered personal information and request to cancel their membership at any time.
To view or modify personal information, click "Edit Profile" (or equivalent), and to cancel membership, click "Withdraw Membership." Complete the identity verification process to proceed.
Alternatively, contact the Data Protection Officer in writing, by phone, or via email, and we will take immediate action.
If personal information contains errors, we will cease its use or provision until corrections are made. If provided to a third party, they will be notified of the corrections.
Information deleted or withdrawn upon the user's request is managed in accordance with the retention and usage periods specified in this Privacy Policy.
