What Your Child Will Be Learning in Science Class

We’re excited to share an overview of what your child will be exploring in their upcoming science lessons! This engaging unit will introduce students to three fascinating topics: fingerprints, fibers, entomology.

In addition to these exciting topics, students will also build important academic skills. They’ll:

🧠 Think and Write Like a Scientist – Students will practice using evidence to support their ideas and write in clear, logical ways just like real scientists do.

🤝 Collaborate with Peers – Through engaging group activities and guided discussions (including the use of helpful sentence starters), your child will learn how to share ideas and build understanding with classmates.

📒 Use Structured Note-Taking – We’ll teach students a simple, organized way to take notes that helps them process and remember what they’re learning.
