Bloom Diary — Privacy PolicyLast
updated: 2026-06-011
Bloom Diary ("the App") is a personal mood journal for Android. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.
Your diary entries, mood records, and photos are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to any server. The App may also work with trusted third-party services for purposes such as displaying ads and improving app stability, as described below.
1. Data We Collect
The App may collect the following types of data:
•
Device & usage data — such as device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, and general usage patterns. This data is collected to improve app stability and performance.
•
Advertising identifiers — such as the Android Advertising ID (AAID), used by ad networks to serve relevant ads. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google Settings → Ads.
•
Approximate location — may be inferred from your IP address by advertising partners for the purpose of serving region-appropriate ads.
The following data is never collected or shared:
•
Diary entries, mood records, or personal journal content
•
Photos you attach to entries
•
Your name, email address, or other personal identifiers
•
Precise GPS location
There is no account creation and no login required. Your personal journal data always remains on your device.
2. Data Stored Locally
All diary entries, emoji mood selections, attached photos, and app settings are stored only on your device using the Android Room database. This data never leaves your device.
If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is permanently deleted by the Android operating system.
3. Permissions
The App may request the following permissions:
•
POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to send optional daily reminder notifications. You can disable reminders at any time in the App's Settings.
•
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — to let you attach a photo to a diary entry from your gallery. Photos are stored locally and are never uploaded.
All permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time in Android Settings.
4. Third-Party Services
Bloom Diary may work with the following categories of third-party service providers:
•
Advertising networks (e.g., Google AdMob) — to display ads within the App. These partners may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized or contextual ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device's Google Settings → Ads.
•
Crash reporting & analytics (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics, Google Analytics for Firebase) — to collect crash reports and aggregate usage statistics, helping us identify and fix issues and improve the App.
Each third-party provider has its own privacy policy:

•

5. Children's Privacy
Bloom Diary is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
