PRIVACY POLICY - BLOOKET HACKER EXTENSION
================================================================================
Last Updated: October 2026
At Blooket Hacker ("we", "our", or "the extension"), we are committed to ensuring that your privacy is completely protected. This Privacy Policy details our data practices, outlines why specific permissions are requested, and confirms our adherence to the Principle of Least Privilege.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. CORE PRIVACY COMMITMENT (ZERO DATA COLLECTION)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
• We DO NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.
• We DO NOT track your browsing history or online activity.
• We DO NOT use external analytics tools, trackers, telemetry, or advertising SDKs.
• We DO NOT operate external servers or remote databases for this extension.
• 100% of extension operations execute locally inside your Google Chrome browser on your computer.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. PERMISSION AUDIT: ARE ALL THESE PERMISSIONS NECESSARY?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes. Every single permission requested by Blooket Hacker is strictly required for its core functionality, and no extraneous permissions are requested:
1. "storage" Permission
• Why it is needed:
The "storage" permission (`chrome.storage.local`) is required exclusively to save your customized dashboard preferences on your local device. This includes your chosen playstyle preset (Legit, Speedrun, Rage), response click delay, toggle switches (Auto-Answer, Highlight, Gold ESP, Crypto ESP, Blook Unlocker), and the local count of learned questions.
• Why it is safe:
All settings remain 100% within your local browser profile. Nothing is uploaded to any remote server or cloud infrastructure. Without this permission, you would have to re-configure all your preferences each time you close and reopen your browser.
2. "*://*.blooket.com/*" (Host Permission)
• Why it is needed:
This host permission allows the extension's content script to run specifically on Blooket website tabs (such as play.blooket.com, dashboard.blooket.com, etc.). It enables the extension to read quiz question elements, highlight correct answer options on the screen, render the draggable in-game HUD overlay, and provide visual ESP assists in game modes like Gold Quest and Crypto Hack.
• Why it is safe:
The extension is strictly limited to the blooket.com domain. It cannot and will never run on or read any other website you visit (such as banking websites, email, social media, or other browsing tabs).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. EXCLUDED / UNNECESSARY PERMISSIONS (MINIMAL PRIVILEGE PRINCIPLE)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To protect user security and prevent Chrome Web Store review issues, Blooket Hacker intentionally OMITS all broad or risky permissions:
• NO "<all_urls>" or broad host permissions — strictly confined to blooket.com.
• NO "activeTab" redundancy — domain host matching ensures proper scoping.
• NO "webRequest" or "webRequestBlocking" — all assists run client-side.
• NO "cookies" — the extension never reads or manipulates session cookies.
• NO "tabs" permission — tab management is restricted to opening the play page.
• NO "identity" — the extension does not access Google user profiles.
• NO "background" persistence — uses a modern, lightweight Manifest V3 Service Worker.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. WHAT DATA IS STORED LOCALLY?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The only data stored by the extension is kept in your browser's private local storage:
1. User Preferences: Active preset, toggle booleans (autoAnswer, highlightOnly, autoSkip, humanizer, espGold, espCrypto, blookUnlocker), and response latency (in milliseconds).
2. Local Question Cache: Question text and verified answers extracted during active gameplay sessions to speed up subsequent trivia rounds in the same session.
3. Statistics: Total questions answered counter and total questions learned counter.
You can completely wipe all locally stored data at any time by clicking the "Clear Memory" button in the Blooket Hacker popup dashboard.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. THIRD-PARTY DISCLOSURE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We do not sell, trade, transfer, or disclose any information to third parties. There are no third-party data handlers, analytics services, or marketing partners involved.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any minor updates to this Privacy Policy will be reflected in this file and posted in future extension version releases. Because we collect zero user information, changes will only ever reflect technical adjustments to maintain compatibility with Chrome browser updates.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. CONTACT & INQUIRIES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy or permission justifications, please contact the developer via the official Chrome Web Store support tab.
