Starry Night - RVA Edition
Commissioned April 2020
Starry Night - RVA Edition, is a whimsical rendition of the famed painting merged with the Richmond iconic skyline. The swirls and swishes of the paint strokes reflects the uneasiness that existed over the city during the height of the Black Lives Matter protest in Richmond.
Even in a society that is over 90% Black, black lives, especially those that are the most vulnerable are still marginalized. The sale of the paintings helps pay for school fees, foods, and other infrastructure needs of the orphanage. Hence, our art literally changes and save lives - Black Lives.
