If a brown woman cannot protect her own brown skin while as a baby grows inside it; what is she to do with his brown body once in full bloom?
I felt compelled to create this piece to pay homage to every piece of matter that is BLACK. The black mother, the black sister, the black aunt, the black wife, the black “nana”: The Black woman. Who in her womb whether physical, spiritual, or symbolic has carried a black son.
