A large part of my identity as a black girl is wrapped up in my hair. So many memories, so much history, both personal and ancestral lives in its curls and coils. Over the years, I've come to see my natural hair as a crown, and whenever I see natural hair, I'm blown away by how unique, dynamic, and powerful this simple expression of self can be.
