Ever since I was a child I've been in love with creating. Now that I am old enough to know about the crude injustices of this world, I want to use my talent to help change it. This exhibition seems like an important first step to planting my feet into the art world and I'm excited to be part of it.
How They See Us
To combat the responses of racists to the murder of my people, I created a 3 charcoal sketches detailing what I believe was going through the heads of the murderers of Ahmaud Arbery, Brianna Taylor, and George Floyd. While this is technically 3 pieces, the purpose and theme of these pieces cannot be fully expressed or appreciated without inclusion of the other 2, which is why I believe they fit better as one whole piece.
