Maureen McCarron

Although I’m known for painting birds, I wanted to do something more immediate and direct regarding CoVid19. Just before George Floyd was killed, I found my way to collage and began using the medium for a BLM series. Those pieces have been so successful, I continued to work with collage and have expanded into other subject matter.

It was hard to pick only two images to send, but I’ve decided on The Mountain and Harriet because they represent people, heroes actually, I find inspiring. The rest of my collages can be seen on Instagram at #maureenmccarron7.
