The BLM protests have moved me deeply. I find the recontextualization of the statues to be powerful and moving. I created this print from a drawing I did shortly after the protests began, thus there is little graffiti on the base. The other image is from my Beyond Barbie series which affirmed every woman's beauty regardless of size, shape, race, or age. This woman stands before Ethiopian Christian symbols.
