Welcome to BlinkBreak ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application BlinkBreak (the "App") available on the App Store. By using the App, you agree to the terms and practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect limited information to provide and improve the App's functionality, and we do not collect any unnecessary personal data. The information we collect falls into the following categories:
1.1 Face Data (via AR Face-Tracking)
App uses the TrueDepth API exclusively for core gameplay: blink detection to fire lasers and gaze tracking to steer the ship. All face data is processed on‑device via ARKit. No facial data is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted. We do not perform facial recognition or identity tracking.
1.2 Advertising Identifier (IDFA)
We may collect your device’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA) in compliance with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. Before collecting your IDFA, we will request your explicit permission through the ATT prompt, which will explain the purpose of collecting this identifier.
The IDFA is a non-identifiable device identifier used to help us understand how users interact with the App, measure the effectiveness of our product improvements, and optimize the App’s performance and user experience. We do not use the IDFA to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not share your IDFA with third parties for advertising or tracking purposes without your additional consent.
1.3 Usage Data
We may collect non-personal usage data automatically when you use the App, such as gameplay duration, feature usage (e.g., frequency of Blink to Attack or Ghost Mode usage), device model, iOS version, and app crash reports. This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. We use this data solely to analyze App performance, identify technical issues, and make improvements to enhance the user experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes, all of which are directly related to providing and improving the App:
- To enable core gameplay features: The TrueDepth camera data (processed on-device) is used exclusively to power the App’s AR gameplay, including blink detection for attacking and gaze tracking for steering the in-game ship.
- To improve the App: Usage data and IDFA (with your permission) are used to analyze user behavior, identify areas for improvement, fix technical bugs, and optimize the App’s performance and gameplay experience.
- To ensure compliance: We use the information in accordance with Apple’s App Store guidelines, including the ATT framework, and applicable privacy laws and regulations.
3. Data Storage and Security
We take the security of your information seriously and implement reasonable measures to protect it:
- On-device processing: All face data collected via the TrueDepth camera is processed entirely on your device using ARKit. No face data is stored on our servers, transmitted to any third party, or retained after your gameplay session ends.
- IDFA and usage data: If you grant permission for IDFA collection, this data is stored securely and only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.
- Security measures: We implement industry-standard security practices to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
4. Third-Party Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or tracking purposes.
6. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, Apple’s guidelines, or applicable laws. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, if necessary, through a pop-up notification within the App. Your continued use of the App after the update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
