ZenithSyntax (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the BlindKey mobile application (“the App”). BlindKey is designed as a local-first application, meaning your files remain on your device and are not uploaded to any server controlled by ZenithSyntax.
BlindKey does not collect, store, transmit, or access your personal files. Any photos, videos, documents, or other content you choose to store or share using the App are processed locally on your device. We do not have access to the content of your files at any time.
BlindKey does not collect or store your passwords, vault passwords, or file access passwords. These passwords are created and managed entirely by you. If a password is lost or forgotten, it cannot be recovered by ZenithSyntax. We also do not have access to decrypted file content or the contents of imported or exported .blindkey files.
To improve app stability, performance, and user experience, BlindKey may collect limited, non-identifiable technical information. This may include device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and general usage information such as how often certain features are used. This data does not include personal files, passwords, or file contents and is used only to improve the reliability and quality of the App.
BlindKey may require an internet connection in certain situations, such as validating the expiry date of shared .blindkey files or displaying advertisements. When validating expiry dates, the App may retrieve the current date and time from an external time source to prevent device time manipulation. During this process, no personal files or sensitive data are transmitted.
If advertisements are displayed in the App, third-party advertising partners such as Google AdMob may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies. This may include advertising identifiers, IP address, general location data, and interactions with ads. ZenithSyntax does not control how third-party advertisers collect or use this data, and users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of these services.
All user content is stored locally on the user’s device within the App’s private storage or in a location selected by the user during file export. BlindKey uses reasonable security practices to protect local data. However, the security of your files also depends on the strength of the passwords you choose and the security of your device. ZenithSyntax is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from device compromise or weak passwords.
ZenithSyntax does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties. Information may only be shared with trusted service providers that assist with app functionality, such as crash reporting or advertising services, or if required by applicable law. Since BlindKey does not have access to encrypted user content, such content cannot be disclosed.
BlindKey may request permissions such as access to device storage to allow you to select files, save encrypted files, or export .blindkey files. Internet access may be requested to validate shared file expiry or load advertisements. These permissions are used only for their intended purposes.
BlindKey is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required by law in your region. ZenithSyntax does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.
ZenithSyntax may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes are made indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
