The aim of this research was to find out the state of leprosy settlements in 7 states in Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory and what can be done to improve the lives of people living with leprosy. Data was collected using Focused Group Discussions (FGDs) and Key Informant Information(KIIs).

Inorder to draw insight from the interviews conducted, the interviews were transcribed and entered into Microsoft Word. Moving on to Nvivo, I decided to use thematic analysis by creating themes based on research objectives which included finding out what the experiences of those living with leprosy were and what the living conditions were in their settlements, the kind of support they got from government and private organisations, what has worked so far and what needed to be improved on, roles of organisations and health care workers and finally recommendations.

From my analysis, it shows that respondents suffer from stigmatization and neglect due to little to no awareness on leprosy disease.

Furthermore, there is little to no funding from the government and they voiced the need to be empowered to care for themselves. Some roles organisation play include providing welfare, drugs and free education to the children in these settlements.

In Conclusion, I have been able to show the relationship between these issues by using nodes and cases which can be seen in the images uploaded.
