Powering Chess Awareness, Education, and Experience
Chess is an elegant art form that has been around for over one thousand years, cultivating world-wide interest. The goal of The Blake School's Chess Club is to provide an environment in which students and faculty can collaborate and learn, empowering the spreading and preservation of Chess.
In addition to spearheading multiple initiatives targeted at spreading Chess awareness and increasing Chess education within the Blake community, Chess Club hosts regular practices, participates in several events, and competes in numerous tournaments each year (hosted through the Minnesota High School Chess League).
Beyond the tournaments and events we participate in, Chess Club meets weekly! Interested in joining? Check out the "Contact" page of this website for more details on how become a member!
The Minnesota High School Chess League (MHSCL) is a league focused on sponsoring high school virtual chess tournaments. As a part of MSHCL, The Blake Chess Club takes part in the various competitions and events hosted by the league.
