Michael Hebert was appointed to the position of Instrumental Music Educator at Blaine High School in 2018. From 2012-2018 he directed the band and orchestra program at DaVinci Academy of Arts and Science (Blaine, MN). He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Northwestern University (St. Paul, MN) and a master's degree in Music Education from Northern State University (Aberdeen, SD).
At the high school, Mr. Hebert directs two curricular orchestras, teaches a music exploration course, and directs the Blaine HS Chamber Orchestra. Mr. Hebert directed the Blaine HS Marching Band from 2018-2022, and is an active adjudicator for the marching arts and a member of the Tri-State Judges Association.
Outside of his duties with the Anoka Hennepin School District, Mr. Hebert has served as brass ensemble coordinator and orchestra director for the Bethlehem Baptist Church Orchestra (Arden Hills). He is a proud member of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA), Minnesota String & Orchestra Teachers Association (MNSOTA), and Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA).
Mr. Hebert's passion lies in providing rigorous and emotionally rich music education opportunities for all students. He believes that music education is built for all students and that music and the arts are a core component of a well developed educational experience.
