OPERATION SUMMARY
Operation Designation: RUNNER
Mobile Task Force: Mu-13 “Ghost Busters”
Primary Location: Northern Highlands, Scotland – Sublevel Complex beneath The Hollow House (Blackwood Estate Satellite Vault)
Mission Type: Pursuit and containment of Class III para-entity within an abandoned ritual vault
Following intel recovered during Operation Paranormal Lord, Mu-13 deployed to a secondary Blackwood site—an outpost known in recovered writings as The Hollow House. The objective was to pursue and contain an active para-entity referenced cryptically by Blackwood as “The One Who Runs From Light.”
Primary goal: locate and neutralize the entity.
Secondary: recover and secure any remaining artifacts tied to Lord Blackwood’s legacy.

Entry & Pursuit Team
Agents Crane, Donner

Rear Guard
Agent Vincent (“Blackwood”)
Junior field operative; assigned under provisional confidence
— Initial Breach
Entry was achieved through a collapsed stone chapel beneath the manor grounds. Blackwood’s sigils were carved into the stairwell—an eyeless fox beneath a broken crown. Warning etched repeatedly: “He remembers the ones who call.”
— Entity Encounter
At approximately the third vault tier, a figure was observed retreating deeper into the complex: humanoid, gaunt, skin lined with stitched script. The entity made no sound, left no heat signature, and fled any direct eye contact. Its movements distorted space behind it.
Agent Vincent, posted on rear guard, became visibly panicked. He froze mid-sweep, dropped his lantern, and muttered, “It’s too fast… it knows I’m here.” Without warning, he abandoned his post and sprinted back up the stairwell, hyperventilating over comms. He did not respond to orders to return.
— Squad Reaction
Agent Crane was overheard saying, “Blackwood’s running from another ghost.”
Agent Donner: “That’s two for two. Maybe third time he just doesn’t show.”
— Tactical Shift and Containment
Despite Vincent’s retreat, his last broadcast—*“It wants to be chased”—*was logged and analyzed by Lt. Saint-Jude and Agent Loch. Believing the entity was bound by a compulsion to flee, a trap was constructed: a lure circle etched from old Blackwood hunting rites.
The entity returned as expected, looping through familiar terrain. It entered the sigil without hesitation and collapsed, whispering fragmented phrases in Latin, Old French, and something older. Designated Entity PL-RUNNER, it was secured under metaphysical seal.
Attribute
Observation
Appearance
Emaciated humanoid, stitched with ritual thread
Behavior
Fleeing compulsion; feeds on the act of being pursued
Sound
None until trapped; speaks in layered voices only under stress
Anomalous Traits
Spatial distortion, memory disruption in observers, geometric recursion
The entity displayed no hostile aggression—only terror, looping endlessly through the ruins like prey that no longer remembers the hunter.
Agent Vincent’s performance was noted as unstable. His repeated pattern of flight under stress continues to undermine squad confidence. Despite providing a single key observation, his behavior has once again earned him the ridicule of his peers. The nickname “Blackwood” is now used openly as shorthand for failure under pressure.
While Lt. Saint-Jude refrained from disciplinary action, his closing note was less forgiving this time:
“Fear can be useful. But cowardice is a pattern. If he cannot face the dark, then he will not last where we’re going next.”
