EVERY LAST DROP
If it was over today how would it feel
Staring death in the face eminent and real
Is it a blessing not knowing when 'ur number is called
Or would havin' some time help you deal with it all
To share a kind word or hold a baby's hand
To smell a sweet flower dance slow with ur man
To laugh with family ‘n drink a fine chardonnay
Feel the sun on your face on the dock in the bay
The video plays smiles ‘n hugs on a screen
Stories told with laughs ‘n tears in between
A moment in time a show of devotion
They drink the best wine I move in slow motion
The grapes of this life were sweetest for me
Drink every last drop - as this spirit goes free
I’m sailing the waves of Lake Ontario
Skiing the Rockies to watch falling snow
Learning to swim in a warm summer lake
Standing at the ocean to eat wedding cake
To feel the warmth of your lover on your tired skin
To see a sunset on the beach and live it again
To have family as friends ‘n never be alone
To feel anchored by love in the comfort of home
The video plays smiles ‘n hugs on a screen
Stories told with laughs ‘n tears in between
A moment in time a show of devotion
They drink the best wine I move in slow motion
The grapes of this life were sweetest for me
Drink every last drop - as this spirit goes free
The grapes of this life were sweetest for me
Drink every last drop - as this spirit goes free
