What is OMG?
The Organic Marine Geochemistry (OMG) laboratory at NCPOR Goa would study organic molecules in modern and ancient sediments. We combine expertise from organic (bio)geochemistry, inorganic biogechemistry, and molecular biology to study how organic molecules (such as lipids) preserve ambient environmental conditions and try to learn what the rock record of these molecules can tell us about Earth’s climatic and geochemical evolution.
