@Zach1122 I agree. I had the same experience and found the game to ultimately be unplayable. The load times are the longest I've encountered on the Switch. The game also crashes every hour or two and then you're dealing with an initial load time of 3+ minutes, plus whatever load times you need to go through to get back to where you left off. This was the first game I requested a refund for through Nintendo and they made a one time exception. I'm surprised to see NL give this a 7. I would give it a 3-4.

The vigil will honor and remember our Clackamas County homeless residents who have died in 2022. 348 homeless people have died in the state of Oregon from January through September 2022, and 13 homeless people have died in Clackamas County in that time period. The Longest Night national memorial vigil has been held for 32 years, but 2022 marks that first time that Clackamas County will host a local event. The vigil is co-hosted by the Homeless Solutions Coalition of Clackamas County and the Downtown Oregon City Association.

The vigil will include the reading of names, a candle ceremony, musical performances by Oregon State Representative Mark Meek and blues musician Rae Gordon, and community words of remembrance and stories. Speakers will include Clackamas County Chair Tootie Smith, Homeless Solutions Coalition of Clackamas County President Dan Fowler, and Clackamas County Housing Services Manager Vahid Brown.

The last two boss fights were my favorite in the game so far. Both of them make delightful use of platforming within the boss arenas. Something about that, in a sidescroller, really adds both challenge and fun for me. Creative incorporation of boss lairs was one of the big sweet spots of Hollow Knight imo and it was a fun high note for this game to end on.

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Central Oregon's third annual "Longest Night" vigil, to remember the homeless members of the community who have passed, took place Wednesday evening, this year at Bend's Drake Park.

Family Kitchen Program Director Donna Burklo said, "I know it's going to be very cold tonight, and I especially hope that people will come, because it's very cold. We need to experience what our houseless folks experience when trying to find a place to sleep at night."

The event is held on the winter solstice, known as the longest night of the year -- and this year, also one of the coldest, with the area's forecast temperatures close to zero, and wind chill factors even lower, posing an even more serious danger to those living on the street.

Vigil: The Longest Night is a 2D action RPG with precise, technical combat and a strong narrative. Inspired by Salt and Sanctuary and Castlevania, Vigil: The Longest Night aims to challenge players with its difficulty while compelling them with a tale of eldritch horror. This is the first year that Good Samaritan has taken over hosting the vigil. The Dec. 21 event marked the winter solstice, which is the darkest day of the year, the day with the fewest hours of sunlight, resulting in the longest night of 2022. Therefore, the day is marked as Homeless Person Memorial Day.

Throughout the vigil, messages of being kind and understanding to one another was amplified, as music filled the air and candles shone on the faces of people who were there to show support for the homeless.

The Longest Night vigil consisted of several guest speakers, among them were Santa Maria councilman Mike Cordero, who has recently been appointed as a representative for the fifth district to Santa Barbara County as a Drug and Alcohol Commissioner. Also in attendance was Judge Kay Kuns, who currently presides over the Drug Court and Mental Health Court calendars in Department 3 in Santa Maria.

Anais Diaz is the outreach coordinator for Santa Barbara County with the Good Samaritan shelter. She aided at the vigil with coffee and kind words. Diaz is also a Santa Maria native who shares that working here with the unsheltered folk is dear to her heart.

Its protagonist Leila is a vigilant, a sort of protector who left her village as a child to begin her training and returns years later at the behest of her twin sister. The land has been plunged into an endless night of squalor, depravity and otherworldly horrors. Frightened villagers vaguely prompt you to investigate the disappearance of a local girl, and seem pleased to leave this and other requests in your capable hands.

His name was called out along with the names of dozens of others who died in the past year as a result of homelessness. Just like last year, it came on the longest night of the year, when the struggle for survival and the first light of dawn can seem like an eternity.

The longest night of the year is a time to remember our homeless friends who have died and to recommit ourselves to the task of ending homelessness. A candlelight procession will start at the Maine Medical Center-Preble Street Learning Collaborative at 20 Portland Street at 4:30 pm, and will proceed to Monument Square for a ceremony dedicated to those persons who have died in our community.

Vigil: The Longest Night is an indie Metroidvania inspired by Salt and Sanctuary, Castlevania, and Taiwanese culture. You are Leila, the last member of The Vigil. It's up to you to uncover the truth behind what happened to your sister and the eldritch nightmares that stalk you ceaselessly.

The 51 people memorialized at the vigil was a decrease from the 64 deaths in 2020 but remains elevated from the years before the pandemic. Between 2008 and 2019, the number of deaths each year ranged from 20 to 43, averaging about 31.

Scheduled on the eve of the first day of winter and the longest night of the year, the vigil pays tribute to those who lost their lives as well as to those men, women and children who continue to survive against great odds, the CCH says.

Tonight, as they traditionally do on the longest night of the year, people who are homeless, along with their family members and advocates, will hold a candlelight vigil for those who died while experiencing homelessness in Baltimore.

In choosing locations for these annual vigils, organizers have occasionally sought to make a particularly pointed statement about the issue. Last year, for instance, they chose the strip of grass on the side of Interstate-83 where the city planted thorny bushes to discourage encampments.

Pugh has said shelter space was available that night. Her spokesman, Anthony McCarthy, said city officials are still trying to determine precisely what interactions city agencies or service providers may have had with Alexander before his death.

All eight of Queen Elizabeth II's grandchildren stood in silent vigil beside her coffin Saturday, capping another huge day in which thousands came to pay their respects. Mourners huddled in a line that snaked across London, enduring the city's coldest night in months and waits that stretched up to 16 hours.

A vigil on December 21st acknowledges the passing of our neighbors who have died without a place to call home. Every year, during the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year, Healthcare for the Homeless joins communities across the county in paying tribute to those who have lived without stable housing and have died, often from conditions directly related to homelessness. be457b7860
