A discussion session with Dr. Hassan Tawami about his journey from bachelor's to PH.D

Dr. Hassan Tawami is a graduate of Biotechnology Engineering from the Faculty of Technical Engineering - University of Aleppo, from the first batch. He holds a PhD in Life Sciences from Friedrich Alexander University in Germany. He currently works as the head of the Genetic Diagnosis Department at the First Genome Lab in Dubai. Dr. Hassan has over 10 years of experience in the field of human genetics and has contributed to the discovery of new genes associated with intellectual disabilities and primary immunodeficiency.

He will share insights from his academic and practical journey and discuss topics related to recent discoveries and some advice for those entering this field.

 workshop focused on the advancements in molecular genetics, specifically addressing the topic of molecular diagnosis of cancer through liquid biopsy techniques. This workshop aims to highlight the significance of liquid biopsies as a non-invasive alternative to traditional solid tissue biopsies.

With Biotechnology Engineering graduate Mohammed Khoja, currently a researcher at the University of Schleswig-Holstein in Germany, who is visiting Aleppo. The workshop will be held on 9 September at 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
