Prof. Ravi Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, Pune. His research focuses on composite materials and structural mechanics, particularly the nonlinear analysis of sandwich composites with cutouts under mechanical and hygro-thermal loading. He has published several research papers in reputed journals and conferences and has expertise in finite element methods, higher-order theories, and blast load analysis.

 Alongside research, he is passionate about teaching and mentoring students, guiding them in developing strong fundamentals and practical problem-solving skills. He is a member of professional engineering societies and continues to contribute to the academic and research community through publications, seminars, and collaborative projects.
