An Odyssey of Microbial Sensation
Physical forces are fundamental in shaping our reality, influencing everything from natural landscapes to biological systems. Primitive organisms like bacteria are constantly exposed to these forces, yet how they perceive and adapt to such mechanical cues has remained underexplored, largely due to past limitations in technology and microscopy.
Our lab is dedicated to investigating the physiological changes that occur in bacteria in response to mechanical stimuli. By studying how bacteria sense and respond to these physical forces, we aim to uncover new insights into their biology. Ultimately, our goal is to harness this knowledge to develop innovative approaches that could complement or even replace conventional chemical methods for manipulating bacterial physiology.
