About University of Madras
The Public Petition dated 11-11-1839 initiated the establishment of Madras University. It was in January 1840 with Mr. George Norton as its President, that the University Board was constituted. In 1854 after a lapse of 14 years, the Government of India formulated a systematic educational policy for India and as a sequel to this on 5th September 1857 by an Act of Legislative Council of India, the University was established. The University was organised in the model of London University.
Madras University is the mother of almost all the old Universities of south India. The University area of jurisdiction has been confined to three districts of Tamil Nadu in recent years. This is consequent to establishment of various universities in the State and demarcation of the University territories. This University has been growing from strength to strength while widening its teaching and research activities.
About Conclave
Biomaterials Conclave 2022 is being Jointly organized by University of Madras, Society for Biomaterials & Artificial Organs (India) -SBAOI, Society for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (India)-STERMI and NACE International Gateway India Section (NIGIS), on March 7-15, 2022. Biomaterials Conclave 2022 will provide an opportunity to the academicians, researchers and industrialists to meet in a forum to discuss various issues and its future direction in the field of biomaterials. The conclave aims to bring together the experts from the relevant areas to disseminate their knowledge to young researchers. It contains eight symposia and each symposium will have invited talks by the eminent scientists, and Oral as well as Poster presentations. Best Presentation Awards will be given for the oral and poster category for each symposium. Internship certificates will be provided to the PG students who are participating in all the symposiums. Abstract Submission:
Abstracts should represent the original work and it should be less than 500 words. The organizing committee will consider all abstracts received by the published deadline to ensure that the proposed submission is relevant to the Conference. Acceptance of the abstract will be sent to relevant authors. Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Award will be given to the best oral presentation and Richard Feynman Award will be given to the best poster presentation of each symposium.
Selected full length articles will be published in the special issue of Trends in Biomaterials & Artificial Organs (ISSN 0971-1198), and Biomedical Materials and Devices (ISSN 2731-4812). A book series on “Bio functional materials” will be published in Indian Institute of Metals Series (ISSN 2509-6400), Springer. All the participants and speakers are requested to submit their work and reviews. Details of manuscript preparation and submission will be given later
