Kurt Cobain

Kurt Donald Cobain was born in February 1967 in Aberdeen, near Seattle. The parents of the future celebrity - Donald Leland Cobain, who worked as a mechanic at the service station, and Wendy Elizabeth Cobain (Freinderberg), who at one time was a teacher, and then - a waitress at the bar. In addition to the boy's mother and father, other relatives took care of him. 3 years after Kurt's appearance, a girl named Kimberly was born in the Cobain family.

Kurt showed interest in music at the age of 2. In childhood the boy loved The Beatles and The Monkees. Cobain often attended rehearsals of his uncle and aunt, who performed as part of a country ensemble. When the future soloist of "Nirvana" was 7 years old, aunt Marie Earle presented a children's drum kit. Kurt later became interested in the work of AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Joy Division, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith and Kiss.

At the age of 8, Kurt Cobain had to go through the divorce of his parents, which is not the best impact on the psyche and further behavior. Since then, Kurt became withdrawn, aggressive and cynical. Cobain lived with his mother for a time, but then moved to his father in Montesano. During this period, he committed suicide uncle, whom the musician is very fond of. Dad married Jenny Westby. Kurt didn't get along with his father's new crush, so he moved out. In adolescence, the future rock singer lived with relatives.

At the age of 14, Cobain studied guitar, and his first mentor was Warren Mason, a musician from the Beachcombers. After graduating from school, the guy wandered for a while to friends. Then still got a job, and in 1986 for 8 days was in prison for illegal entry into foreign territory and drinking alcohol.

In 1985, Kurt Cobain founded the musical group Fecal Matter. The band had 7 songs, but without releasing a single disc, the band broke up, but this experience influenced the creative biography of the musician in the future. Then a friend of Kurt, musician Krist Novoselic, proposed to create a rock band. In addition to Novoselic and Cobain, the team appeared drummer Chad Channing. The musicians could not find a suitable name for their team – the band was called Skid Row, Ted Ed Fred, Bliss and Pen Cap Chew. As a result, we stopped at Nirvana.
