The BiOf lab works on multiple research projects spanning from tissue engineering to the development of novel microscopy techniques or modalities, advanced imaging processing, mechanobiology of organoids, microfluidics and microfabrication for 3D cell cultures. Our interdisciplinary lab is composed of 3 research groups that develop state-of-the-art projects within their specific field and share their complementary expertise within joint projects.
Our lab has developed a microfluidics-assisted technique, the Cellular Capsule Technology (CCT) that enables to encapsulate cells and grow organoids or tumor models within a shell of porous hydrogel. Our multidisciplinary team work at the interface of tissue engineering, biophysics and optics.
Léon's work on acoustic sorting of 3D aggregates is now published here
