Building new connections through STEM mentorship.
BioConnext is a research and mentorship organization founded by Kira Ruiz-Houston as a way to foster a supportive network of graduate and undergraduate microbiology students across cohorts to navigate common challenges that arise during their research and studies.
Connecting undergraduates and graduates across biological sciences
The first year of this program will focus primarily on microbiology and bacteriology students, and as it grows, will incorporate other graduate students from the biological sciences departments as well.
The goal of this program is to expand to create a network for students majoring across genetics, immunology, biochemistry and more.
