Overview
Binta stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or business data on any server. Nothing leaves your phone.
Information We Collect
Binta does not collect any information from you.
All data you enter into Binta — including:
Store name and owner name
Product names, prices, and stock levels
Sales transactions and receipts
Customer names and utang records
Supplier information
Expense records
Backup files you create
— is stored only on your device using a local SQLite database. This data never leaves your phone unless you choose to share it yourself (for example, by exporting a backup file and sending it via Messenger or email).
Internet Access
Binta does not require an internet connection to function. The app works fully offline.
Binta does not connect to any server, cloud service, or third-party API. No data is transmitted over the internet.
Camera Access
Binta requests access to your device camera solely for the purpose of scanning product barcodes and QR codes. Camera access is used only when you are actively using the scanner feature. No photos or video are captured, stored, or transmitted.
Photo / Storage Access
Binta may request access to your photo library or storage to allow you to attach product images. Any images you select are stored locally on your device only. Images are not uploaded or shared anywhere.
Notifications
Binta may send local notifications to remind you to export a backup (if you enable the weekly backup reminder in Settings). These are local notifications generated by your device — no notification server or push notification service is used.
Data Backup Files
When you use the Backup & Export feature, Binta generates a backup file (JSON or CSV) and opens your device's share sheet. You choose where to send or save this file. Binta has no control over what happens to the file after you share it — please be mindful of who you share your business data with.
Third-Party Services
Binta does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data collection services.
No third-party SDKs that collect user data are included in the app.
Children's Privacy
Binta is a business tool intended for adult business owners. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
Data Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on the security of your device. We recommend:
Setting a screen lock on your phone
Regularly exporting a backup and storing it somewhere safe (Google Drive, email, etc.)
Being careful who has access to your phone
Your Rights
Since Binta does not collect or store any data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to access, modify, or delete on your behalf. All your data is on your own device and fully under your control.
You can delete all Binta data at any time by uninstalling the app.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, the new version will be posted at this URL. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Binta after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
