The BiNoMa Workshop on Economics of Networks is intended to be a forum for discussion on topics related to Economics of Networks in a stimulating environment. The venue of the workshop used to alternate each year between the University of East Anglia (Norwich, UK), Universidad del País Vasco (Bilbao, Spain), and Universidad de Málaga (Málaga, Spain). Travelling to Granada
By Air
Granada has its own airport, Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén Airport (GRX), located about 16 km from the city center.
Direct Flights: There are limited international flights directly to Granada (right now from Amsterdam and Paris). Most direct routes come from major cities in Spain, such as Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao or Palma de Mallorca.
Via Malaga: There are many international flights to Malaga airport. There is also a direct bus from Malaga airport to Granada: https://www.alsa.es/tu-viaje/canales-de-compra/web
Via Madrid/Barcelona: If coming from outside Spain, you might need to fly into Madrid (Barajas) or Barcelona (El Prat) and take a connecting flight.
From the Airport to the City Center:
Bus: The airport bus takes about 40 minutes and costs around €3.
Taxi: A taxi ride to the city center costs around €25-30.
Granada is well connected via the Spanish rail network RENFE:
From Madrid: The AVE (high-speed train) takes around 3.5 hours.
From Barcelona: A direct train takes approximately 6.5 hours.
From Seville or Málaga: There are direct trains; the journey from Málaga is just 1.5 hours.
You can book tickets on the RENFE website or app. Booking in advance often gets you cheaper fares.
