1. Summary
Bing Maps Extractor helps you extract publicly available business listing information from Bing Maps and export it for your own use. Scraping of listing results runs in your browser. We do not sell your personal information. We only collect limited account, usage, and (when you use Pro enrichment) website URL data needed to operate the Extension and related services.
2. Information we process
2.1 Information stored on your device
The Extension uses Chrome local storage on your computer to save settings and session-related data, which may include:
- Account identifier (UID / token) used to recognize your account
- Subscription status cache (for example Pro / Free)
- Keyword lists and custom business categories you create
- Free-plan usage counters
- Cached scrape configuration
- Temporary UI preferences
This data stays on your device unless you clear the Extension storage or uninstall the Extension.
2.2 Information sent to our servers
When you use account, billing, quota, or Pro enrichment features, the Extension may send requests to our API (https://api.extensionsfox.com), including:
- Account identifier (UID)
- Product / app identifier
- Lead usage counts (how many leads were extracted for quota accounting)
- For Pro email/social enrichment only: business website URLs you choose to enrich
Payment checkout is processed by third-party payment providers (such as Paddle). We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
2.3 Information we do not intentionally collect
We do not intentionally collect:
- Your Bing account credentials
- Browsing history outside Bing Maps pages where the Extension runs
- Precise device location for advertising
- Contact lists unrelated to the Extension’s features
Extracted lead lists that you generate (names, addresses, phones, websites, and similar public listing fields) are processed in your browser for display and export. Unless you use Pro enrichment (which sends website URLs to our enrichment service), we do not upload your full exported lead files to our servers as part of normal scraping.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide and maintain the Extension
- Authenticate accounts and restore purchases
- Enforce free and paid usage limits
- Provide Pro enrichment results
- Provide customer support
- Improve reliability and fix bugs
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Permissions
The Extension may request browser permissions such as storage, tabs, and host access to Bing Maps and our API. These permissions are used only to run the Extension’s features (inject the panel on Bing Maps, save preferences, open related pages, and call our API).
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information with:
- Payment processors (to complete purchases and manage subscriptions)
- Infrastructure / hosting providers that operate our API
- Authorities when required by law
Service providers are used only to operate the Extension and related services.
6. Data retention
- Local Extension data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the Extension.
- Server-side account, subscription, and usage records are kept as long as needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal or accounting requirements.
- Enrichment requests are processed to return results and are not used to build advertising profiles.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information transmitted to and stored by our services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children’s privacy
The Extension is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your choices
You may:
- Stop using the Extension and uninstall it at any time
- Clear Extension storage through your browser
- Contact us to ask questions about account or billing data associated with your UID / purchase email
- Manage or cancel a paid subscription through the billing links provided in the Extension or by your payment provider
10. Third-party services and Bing Maps
The Extension interacts with Bing Maps and other third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. The Extension is not affiliated with Microsoft or Bing.
11. International users
Our services may be hosted or operated in countries different from your own. By using the Extension, you understand that information may be processed in those locations as needed to provide the service.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
