Hello World! I am Dr. Binanda Sengupta,1 an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information Technology, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, India.2 Before joining IIEST Shibpur, I had the opportunity to work under the guidance of some wonderful persons who helped me grow as a researcher and as a human being also. I worked towards my MS thesis under the supervision of Prof. Abhijit Das at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. I worked under the supervision of Prof. Sushmita Ruj at the Indian Statistical Institute to earn my PhD degree. After PhD, I was a postdoctoral research fellow, hosted by Prof. Yingjiu Li and Prof. Robert H. Deng, at the School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University. I then worked as a Scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research, A*STAR, Singapore, for three years. I also spent a wonderful stint as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad, India.

I enjoy playing football and table tennis. I am very fond of listening to a variety of songs (mostly Hindi and Bengali songs).
