Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 31, 2026 | Last Updated: July 31, 2026
MeetStar Inc ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application BillWorth (the "App"), a banknote scanning and identification tool.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; changes will be posted within the App or on our website, and your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide and improve our services. The types of data we collect fall into the categories below.
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
Banknote Images: When you use the App to scan or photograph banknotes, the images you capture are transmitted to our servers solely to generate identification results. These images are used only to process your request; they are automatically deleted once the result is returned, and are not stored, retained, or shared with any third party. The App does not require you to create an account.
Customer Support: When you contact us for help, we collect your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device Information: Device type, operating system and version, device language, device identifiers (such as IDFA, IDFV, or Android Advertising ID), and mobile network information.
Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including features accessed, pages viewed, click-through statistics, session duration, and crash logs.
Camera and Photo Library: With your explicit permission, the App accesses your device camera to capture banknote images and your photo library to save or upload images. You may revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. The App does not access your camera or photo library without your consent.
1.3 Analytics and Advertising Technologies
We and our third-party service providers use software development kits (SDKs) and device identifiers to analyze usage patterns, deliver and measure advertisements, and improve the App experience. Where required, we request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before using identifiers such as the IDFA for cross-app advertising. You can change this choice at any time in your device settings (see Section 9).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Provide Core Services: Processing scanned banknote images to deliver identification results and enabling App functionality.
To Improve the App: Analyzing usage patterns to understand how users interact with the App and to enhance features, accuracy, and user experience.
To Communicate with You: Responding to your inquiries and support requests, and sending service-related notifications.
For Security and Compliance: Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, or illegal activity; enforcing our terms; and complying with applicable laws and legal obligations.
For Advertising and Marketing: With your consent where required, displaying interest-based advertisements within the App and measuring ad performance.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
Service Providers: We work with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting, analytics (such as Google Analytics), advertising networks, and customer support platforms. These providers are contractually bound to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and to maintain confidentiality and security.
Legal Obligations: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Refund Verification: If you request a refund through the Apple App Store, we may share limited usage or activity data with Apple to help verify your usage and support a fair review of your request.
With Your Consent: We may share information for other purposes with your explicit consent.
4. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include data encryption, firewalls, server authentication, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. The criteria we use to determine retention periods include:
How long the information is needed to provide the App's services
The type and sensitivity of the information
Legal, contractual, or regulatory obligations to retain data
Whether you have requested deletion of your data
When your information is no longer needed, we will either delete it or anonymize it so that it can no longer be associated with you. Scanned banknote images transmitted to our servers for processing are automatically deleted after the identification result is returned; they are not stored or retained after processing.
6. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.
Our App uses the following third-party services:
Google Analytics: A web analytics service provided by Google LLC that helps us understand how users interact with the App. Google's data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Firebase: A mobile development platform provided by Google LLC, used for crash reporting, analytics, and cloud services. Firebase's data practices are governed by the Firebase Privacy Policy.
7. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us.
8. International Data Transfers
Our servers are hosted in Germany. Our service providers may be located in various countries. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, which may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your information remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising partners and identifiers such as the IDFA to deliver interest-based advertising may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of California residents under 18.
