Bills Ahead Privacy Policy

Bills Ahead is a free bill-reminder app. It stores bill names, dates, amounts, categories, payment history, settings, and reminder policies in local app storage on your device. The app does not require an account and does not connect to banks or payment providers.
Notifications are optional. When you allow them, the app schedules reminders on your device. You can use every other feature when notification permission is denied.
Backups are manual. When you export or share a backup, the backup file leaves the app only through the destination you choose. Imports replace local app data only after validation and confirmation.
This release contains no ads, subscriptions, or purchases. It uses Aptabase as an analytics service provider for anonymous product analytics about feature use and non-financial reliability. Along with those events, Aptabase receives the operating-system name and version, device locale, app version and build number, event time, and a short-lived session identifier. The app sends this information to Aptabase over HTTPS and uses it only to understand feature use and app reliability.
Analytics never contains bill amounts, names, categories, dates, backup contents, advertising identifiers, or persistent device identifiers. The app does not create a persistent user profile or use analytics to identify you.
Analytics events are stored in Aptabase's United States region. Aptabase does not publish a fixed event-retention period for this service. Events remain available to the app operator until they are deleted or the Aptabase account is closed. Because events are anonymous and contain no persistent user identifier, an individual person's events cannot be located for selective deletion.
Because data is stored on your device, uninstalling the app or clearing its storage can remove data that has not been manually backed up. Keep exported backups secure. You can delete app data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. Exported backups are controlled by you and must be deleted from the location where you saved or shared them.
