About Us

We were married on June 7, 1952 at St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church (Now St. Paul United Church of Christ following the merger of the E&R denomination and the Congregational Christian in 1957.)

We spent 23 years in the United States Air Force. During those 23 years we were stationed together in Brussels, Belgium and Karachi, Pakistan as well as in various bases in the United States. Bill had unaccompanied tours in Japan during the Korean war and in Vietnam in the late 1960's.

Bill retired from the USAF in 1974 and taught college in Dayton, Ohio (Sinclair Community College) and at the Parks Campus of Saint Louis University in Cahokia, Illinois. He retired from teaching in 1985 and following retirement he joined Helen in volunteer activities.
