Bilal Ahmad Rather did his Bsc, Msc, B.ed, PGDCA and PhD from the University of Kashmir, Srinagar. He worked as junior research fellow from August 2017 to June 2019 on SERB-DST(EMR/ 2015/0010471) major research project entitled "On energy and Laplacian energy of graphs'' at Department of Mathematics, University of Kashmir, Srinagar Kashmir 190001, India. Bilal worked as a Postdoctoral fellow at UAE University for three years. His areas of interest in research are Algebraic Combinatorics, Combinatorial Commutative Algebra, and Spectral Properties of Graph Matrices, Discrete Mathematics with applications in theoretical computer science and mathematical chemistry. He currently hold the position of Postdoc Associate at SDUT in China and is actively engaged in teaching and research with main focus on zeros of graph invariant polynomials. He has published research papers in international journals of high repute. These works deal with the structure and spectrum of graphs defined on algebraic structures such as rings and groups, energy (trace norms), eigenvalues of graph matrices, and, homological invariants of edge ideals, unimodal, log-concave and zeros of graph polynomials and Kay Fan k norms. Some of the journals include ``Linear Algebra and its Applications, Linear and Multilinear Algebra, Electronic Journal of Linear Algebra, Journal of Algebra and its Applications, Communications in Algebra, Discrete Applied Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Computations, Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computing, Special Matrices, Mediterranean Journal of Mathematics" and several others.
