Hello; thank you for visiting our site! We are the Big Tree String Quartet. We take out name from the Big Tree, located in Issaquah, WA at the base of Tiger Mountain. Just as a tree has many branches, the members of our quartet have unique musical interests and pursuits. We formed back in 2017 as a collection of friends and collaborators interested in exploring diverse musical styles such as tango, fiddle, and pop as well as more traditional classical fare. Between us, we have several music degrees (both undergraduate and graduate), string education experience, and professional performance backgrounds in the classical, fiddle, jazz, and pop worlds. Our quartet is comprised of members of both the Issaquah Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the Sammamish Symphony.

We are primarily based in Issaquah and Sammamish, but are willing to travel across the greater Seattle area to perform for your event. We are happy to provide music for parties, community and corporate events, weddings, small businesses, or family celebrations. We fully embrace the wonderful diversity of the Pacific Northwest and are happy to play music for all the communities that make this area so rich and vibrant.
