BibleTok: Scroll Scripture (formerly Bible Scroll; "we," "us," or "our") is a Bible reading and study app. This policy explains what information the app keeps on your device, what it sends to service providers, and how to contact us about privacy.
BibleTok does not require an account, name, email address, or password. Your reading history and progress, saved verses, private notes, reading plans, and app preferences are stored on your device. Private notes are not sent to our study provider or shared with other users. These items do not sync between devices.
The app also creates a random installation token and stores it in iOS Keychain. It uses this token to recognize the installation for access checks. Clearing reading data in the app deletes local notes and reading data, but it does not reset the app's access period.
Access and usage. Our Supabase backend receives the installation token for access checks and stores a cryptographic hash of it, a generated installation ID, access timestamps, the assigned onboarding offer, and daily counts of generated-study requests. New installations may receive either three days of app access without payment information or an Apple subscription offer. The assigned offer remains fixed. We use this information to provide and verify access and enforce the study feature's usage limit. An internet connection is needed to verify access.
Subscriptions. Purchases and restores are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives the generated installation ID and subscription transaction information, including product and entitlement status, so we can provide paid access and review subscription activity. We do not receive your payment card details from Apple.
Offer measurement. The app records limited events about completing onboarding, viewing the paywall, starting or completing a purchase, canceled or pending purchases, purchase errors, and successful restores. These events are linked to the generated installation ID and may include the selected subscription product and trial eligibility. RevenueCat sends subscription outcomes to our Supabase backend so we can distinguish a free trial from a paid subscription. We use these records to compare onboarding offers. They contain no notes, reading history, email address, or card details. Events awaiting delivery are kept locally for up to seven days and retried when the app is used.
Optional generated study. If you request a generated study explanation, the app sends the selected Bible verse text, its reference, and translation to our Supabase backend, which passes the verse and reference to DeepSeek to generate a response. Your private notes are not included. Do not treat generated explanations as a substitute for Scripture or qualified advice.
Service operation. When the app contacts these services, they may process standard network information, such as an IP address, needed to deliver the request, maintain security, and operate their services. Their handling of this information is governed by their own policies.
We use the information described above to operate BibleTok, provide and verify access, process subscriptions, compare onboarding offers, deliver optional study explanations, enforce usage limits, prevent misuse, and respond to support or privacy requests. We do not sell your information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking.
You can clear locally stored reading data in the app or remove the app from your device. This does not cancel a subscription, erase Apple's or RevenueCat's transaction records, restart the three-day access period, or change the assigned offer. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
Our backend and service providers retain access, usage, and transaction records as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. To ask about or request deletion of information associated with your installation, contact us using the address below. Because the app does not require an account or collect your email address, we may need additional information from you to locate the relevant anonymous record.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security.
BibleTok is not designed specifically for children. The app does not ask users to provide a name or email address to use it. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, contact us so we can address it.
We may update this policy as the app or its services change. The updated policy will show a new effective date on this page.

RevenueCat receives the selected Bible translation, onboarding flow and offer variation, reached/completed flags for each onboarding screen, and overall completion status, associated with the same private installation identifier used for subscriptions. Milestones remain in iOS Keychain with that identifier when reading data is cleared. These records contain no private notes or reading history. Subscription, trial, purchase, and paywall performance use RevenueCat’s existing analytics.
RevenueCat also receives the total number of app opens, the number of UTC calendar days with a recorded open, and the most recent open time for the installation. An open means a fresh app launch or a return from the background; temporary interruptions such as permission prompts do not count. These measurements begin with the app update that adds them and help us understand repeat use. Counts are saved in Keychain, survive clearing reading data, and sync when connectivity is available. They do not identify a person by name or combine their activity across devices, and they do not include private notes or which verses were read.
