Effective date: May 27, 2026
BibleGPT ("BibleGPT", "we", "our") provides a chat experience that helps you explore Scripture with an AI companion. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What you type. When you send a message, the text you type is transmitted to our AI provider (Anthropic, via the Rork proxy) so we can return a reply. Conversations are also stored locally on your device.
Sign in with Apple (optional). BibleGPT can be used as a guest with no account. If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple-issued user identifier and (on first sign-in only) the name and email you choose to share. We store these on your device and share the identifier with RevenueCat so your subscription follows your Apple ID across devices. We do not transmit your name or email to any other service.
Subscription information. If you subscribe, RevenueCat and Apple receive your subscription tier, purchase receipts, and renewal status. We never see your full Apple ID or your payment card details.
Usage records and preferences. Timestamped token counts and your app settings (appearance, translation, toggles, notification preference) are stored on your device. They never leave your device.
Device information. Standard diagnostic information available to all iOS apps (iOS version, device model, locale) may be transmitted as part of normal network requests.
We do not collect your phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or biometric data.
• To generate replies to your messages using the Anthropic Claude model.
• To enforce your subscription's token budget.
• To manage your subscription (renewals, restores, cancellations).
• To diagnose crashes and improve the app.
We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or use your chat content to train AI models.
• Anthropic (via Rork proxy) — receives the text of your messages and conversation history to generate AI replies.
• Rork Toolkit — proxies and routes our API requests.
• RevenueCat — manages subscriptions; receives an anonymous device ID, purchase receipts, and subscription status.
• Apple — processes payments and distributes the app under the Apple Media Services agreement.
Each provider operates under its own privacy policy.
If you opt in to the daily verse notification in Settings, BibleGPT schedules a single repeating local notification on your device using Apple's UNUserNotificationCenter. iOS delivers the verse locally — the content never leaves your device and we do not run a push server.
• Locally stored conversations remain until you delete them or uninstall BibleGPT. The app also enforces a soft cap: when you have more than 50 conversations, those untouched for over six weeks are pruned automatically on launch.
• Anthropic / Rork retain message contents only as long as necessary to generate a reply and meet their own logging requirements (typically days, not months). They do not use BibleGPT chat content to train models.
• RevenueCat retains subscription receipts for as long as you have an active or recently-active subscription.
BibleGPT is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us and we will help remove any associated data.
• Delete a conversation at any time from the History view; this removes the conversation and its messages from your device.
• Sign out from Settings to switch BibleGPT back to a guest session. Your local conversations are kept.
• Delete all data from Settings to wipe every conversation, usage record, and sign-in identifier from this device.
• Disable notifications in Settings or in the iOS Settings app.
• Cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
• Contact us at Snapit.foranything@gmail.com to ask about your data.
BibleGPT does not track you across apps or websites. We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) and we do not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs.
Our third-party providers operate primarily in the United States. Your message contents and subscription metadata may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app and the effective date above will be revised. Continued use of BibleGPT after a revision constitutes acceptance.
