Bible GPT: Scripture Chat — Privacy Policy

BibleGPT helps people explore Scripture through AI chat. This policy applies to BibleGPT on iOS and Android. It explains what information is handled, why, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we handle
Messages and Scripture topics. When you send a message, its text and relevant conversation history are sent through our third-party routing infrastructure to Anthropic to generate a reply. Messages can contain religious beliefs or other sensitive information you choose to include. Conversations are also stored locally on your device. Do not include information you do not want processed by these providers.
Account and subscription information. Android does not require an account or sign-in. iOS offers optional Sign in with Apple; if you use it, BibleGPT receives the Apple-issued identifier and any name or email you choose to share. RevenueCat receives an app user identifier to manage purchases. RevenueCat and the relevant store (Google Play on Android or Apple on iOS) process subscription products, purchase receipts, subscription tier, and renewal status. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Device identifiers. RevenueCat may receive an anonymous app user identifier and, on Android, the Android advertising identifier available to the app for subscription and purchase management. BibleGPT does not display ads or use this identifier to target advertising. We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, or biometric data.
Usage and preferences. BibleGPT stores app settings, local usage records, and conversation history on your device. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device if enabled; BibleGPT does not use a push-notification server for daily verses.
2. How information is used
We use messages to provide AI-generated Scripture responses, subscription and purchase information to provide paid features and manage purchases, and local settings to operate the app. The Android app does not include a third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or use chat content to train AI models.
3. Service providers
• Anthropic receives messages and relevant conversation history to generate responses.
• Our routing infrastructure transfers requests between BibleGPT and its AI provider.
• RevenueCat manages subscriptions and purchase status, and may receive the identifiers described above.
• Google Play or Apple processes purchases and distributes the app on its platform.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
4. Storage and retention
Conversations and usage records are stored locally and remain until you delete them or uninstall the app, subject to each platform’s app behavior. RevenueCat retains purchase and subscription records as needed to manage active or recent subscriptions. Messages sent through our routing infrastructure and to Anthropic are processed to generate a response and may be retained under those providers’ service and logging policies. We do not control their independent retention practices.
5. Your choices and data requests
You can delete individual conversations or clear locally stored conversations from the app’s history/settings. You can disable local notifications in BibleGPT or your device settings. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play or your Apple account settings. To ask a privacy question or request deletion of information held by a service provider, contact Snapit.foranything@gmail.com. Deleting local app data does not itself delete purchase records held by Google Play, Apple, or RevenueCat.
6. Children
BibleGPT is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information.
7. International processing
Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
