Letter from student on campus
A letter from any student on campus explaining a time when the whole school had to “choose to listen” in order to solve an issue.

To Whom It May Concern:
In the eyes of a teenage student, the connotation associated with “school” and “learning” is not as favorable and appealing to a number of individuals attending it. Their version of fun isn’t necessarily sitting on a desk for hours learning about Mathematics or English. The situations some of the students from Bellflower High School are under have provided them with reasons to possibly dislike school. However, the preconceived notions that once clouded the minds of the students have wavered. Due to the efforts and resilience of the Associated Student Body, clubs, sports, activities, and the dedicated teachers and staff, the students of Bellflower High School have had a more positive outlook on learning.
As a student of almost five years, I have had the honor to witness the growth and improvement of my high school’s environment to the admirable campus it is now. Specifically speaking, the hours spent preparing for school rallies are one of the main contributors as to why motivation for attending has increased. From months of planning and days of making creative designs for rallies, I have seen the hard work student leaders have exerted to make the high school experience more enjoyable. Their strive for a greater environment never goes unappreciated by a student like myself. The cheering, loud music, and joyful atmosphere as soon as I enter the gym instantly puts a smile to my face. To witness almost every student paint the gym with their vibrant class colors, displays the students’ choice to unite and show their “Buc Pride.” In addition to fun games and dances, the choice to incorporate the promotion of clubs, academics, and the athletic field in rallies have increased student engagement. As a club president myself, I have seen the increase of participation through the countless amount of sign ups. This is not only within the club I serve, but throughout the entire school. This is when I realized that the efforts to create more engaging rallies are effective, and it did push for students to listen. All in all, the development of this aspect in Bellflower High School has altered the culture of the student body for the better.
Sincerely,
