At Bellflower Middle/High School, one of our main objectives is to communicate together as a team and with the people on our campus. At BMHS, we make sure our students are informed about all upcoming events and important news. We encourage ourselves to involve the community and other organizations. In ASB, we promote as much as possible to increase the amount of communication. We make posters to hang around school, we deliver morning announcements every day, we use the Remind app to communicate with students, we have 15 glass display cases on campus for posting fliers, we write upcoming dates in chalk on our ASB door where students make purchases, we print fliers, update our School's website and we post information on our social media sites including Facebook, and our school and class Instagram accounts. We also have a media team that makes social media videos for our upcoming events advertising spirit days and important information. We are continuously demonstrating what P.R.I.D.E. stands for with new and current students each day. Communication is a key. Within our ASB group, because not all ASB students are in one class, we are sure to communicate daily. We use an app called Band to make signups, record participation, talk in who group and small groups including classes, periods, and committees, and to talk to our ASB and class advisors. We use the app to schedule after school work days and bonding events outside of school which happen regularly. At Bellflower, we make sure that all of our students and community know about our events. This year we have also seen many campus organizations create their own Bellflower Instagram accounts. We have reached out to them on our Instagram account to encourage positive comments between each of the accounts. We explained that we want everyone to support everyone else on social media and the results are positive. These clubs frequently repost our social media posts to support our events, so we make sure that they are informed. BMHS ASB focuses on increasing our school communication and builds up our students to be more interactive.
