About Mr. Cargill

Joseph Cargill is the Director of Instrumental Music and Chair of the Performing Arts Department at Bullard High School in Fresno, CA. At Bullard, Joseph oversees all aspects of the instrumental music program, including conducting the wind ensemble, symphonic orchestra, string ensemble and directing the 130 member Bullard Marching Band and Color Guard.

Mr. Cargill holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and Masters of Arts in Orchestral Conducting from California State University Fresno. He has studied conducting with Dr. Thomas Loewenheim and Dr. Gary Gilroy at CSU Fresno, and has attended symposiums with Prof. Steven Davis of the UMKC Conservatory and the Kansas City Youth Philharmonic, Dr. Kevin Sedatole of Michigan State University, Dr. Andy Collinsworth of Sonoma State University, Gary Hill of Arizona State University and Prof. Craig Kirchhoff of the University of Minnesota.

Currently, Joseph is the Immediate-Past President of the Fresno-Madera County Music Educators Association. Joseph also serves on the Board of Directors of the California Band Directors Association, and Council of Representatives of the California Music Educators Association.
