About Me

I am a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota. I am an engineer-turned-policy researcher working in Dr. Gabriel Chan's research lab, investigating public policies by applying interdisciplinary computational social science methods to learn about energy justice, energy transition, and climate mitigation. My research lies at the intersection of the energy transition's economics, justice, and policy implications. I have been working to develop data-intensive indicators to study energy justice in the US, study the impacts of low-income community solar programs across the US, and understand ways to reduce energy poverty in Minnesota.

Outside of academia, I have been working with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) as a Consultant Advisor to the Federal and Provincial governments in Nepal to develop electric mobility projects. I also worked as a Junior Programme Officer with German International Cooperation (GIZ)'s Energizing Development (EnDev) program in Nepal to deliver renewable energy and energy access programs in rural Nepal.

I am a member of the Minnesota Population Center (MPC) and a Senior Research Fellow at Policy Entrepreneurs, Inc (PEI) Nepal. I have a Ph.D. in Public Affairs with a focus on Energy Policy and Economics from the University of Minnesota.
