Privacy Policy — Tasbih Counter: Dhikr Tasbeeh

The short version
Tasbih Counter: Dhikr Tasbeeh has no account and no sign-in. What you recite, what you count, and your statistics stay on your phone and are never sent anywhere. The app does report anonymous information about which parts of it are used, so that it can be improved. It contains no advertising.
1. What never leaves your phone
The following are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else:
Your dhikr counts, totals, targets, rounds and session history.
Any dhikr you create or write yourself.
Your statistics, streaks, goals and achievements.
Your settings: theme, language, counter face, sounds, vibration, numerals and reminder times.
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it permanently.
2. What is collected
To understand how the app is used and what to improve, we collect anonymous usage information through Google Analytics for Firebase:
Which screens are opened, and how often.
Roughly how long a session lasts, as a range rather than an exact time.
Which settings are changed, by their internal names.
Which features you use at least once, such as backup or reminders, by their internal names.
Your approximate country, worked out from your internet address, and the language your device is set to.
Your device model and Android version.
This information is not linked to your name, your email address, your phone number or your contacts. The app has no location permission and never asks for one, so it cannot see where you are — only which country your connection appears to come from.
The app does not collect an advertising identifier. Google Analytics would normally collect one; it is switched off deliberately, because this app carries no advertising.
Google Analytics assigns a random identifier to each installation of the app. It identifies the installation, not you, and it is reset if you uninstall and reinstall the app.
Google processes this information as our service provider. Google's own privacy policy applies to that processing and can be read at policies.google.com/privacy
3. Your choice about analytics
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks your permission before collecting anything, the first time you open it. Nothing is collected unless you agree, and you can change your mind at any time in Settings.
Elsewhere, this analytics is switched on, and this policy is how you are told about it. If you would prefer it switched off, write to us at the address below and we will tell you how.
4. No advertising
There is no advertising in Tasbih Counter: Dhikr Tasbeeh, and no advertising or marketing company receives anything through this app. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for their own purposes.
5. Backup files
The app can create a backup file containing the data listed in section 1, so you can move it to a new phone. This only happens when you ask for it. The file is handed to your phone's own share screen and you choose where it goes. We never see that file and it is never uploaded to us.
6. Permissions, and why each one exists
Internet: used only to report the anonymous usage information in section 2, to check whether an app update is available, and — after you have finished a round of dhikr — to show Google's own rating box, which is drawn by the Play Store and not by us. Nothing you recite or count is sent over it.
Vibration: haptic feedback when you count and when you reach a target.
Notifications and alarms: only if you switch on a daily dhikr reminder, so it can appear at the time you chose. Reminders are generated on your phone.
Run at startup: so a reminder you have already set survives a restart.
Saving an image: used only when you choose to save a 99 Names card to your gallery.
7. Children
Tasbih Counter: Dhikr Tasbeeh is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your rights
Because the analytics is anonymous, we cannot identify which records belong to you, and so we cannot show, correct or delete an individual person's records. What you control directly: inside the app you can reset a counter, reset a dhikr's totals and delete any dhikr you added; uninstalling the app removes everything it has stored; and in the regions named in section 3 you can withdraw consent at any time.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date at the top. If a future version of the app collects anything further, this policy is updated before that version is released.
