I'm currently a CIMES postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University and NOAA GFDL, working with Drs. Lucas Harris and Linjiong Zhou. Before coming to Princeton, I worked with Prof. Justin Minder at the University at Albany and Prof. Yu Du at Sun Yat-sen University as a postdoc. Advised by Dr. Jiwen Fan and Prof. Baojun Chen, I completed my Ph.D. study at Nanjing University.
My research interests are primarily in improving our understanding of cloud microphysical processes in severe weather events using both observations and simulations. I am particularly interested in using observations to evaluate simulations as well as to constrain the uncertainties in microphysics parameterizations.
My current research focuses on the model evaluation of C-SHiELD on snowfall prediction. Another ongoing research is improving winter precipitation type (e.g., freezing rain and ice pellets) prediction under near-freezing conditions.
